About Vulkan SDK

## Overview

The Vulkan SDK provides the development and runtime components to create, capture, and replay Vulkan applications.

The SDK also includes the runtime components to load and run Vulkan Layers.

## Upgrading notes

Vulkan SDK installer allows side-by-side installations of multiple versions and does not remove old versions.

This package does *not* implement any behavior to override that, so running `choco upgrade` will leave you with both old and new versions.

The old version has to be removed by either

- running `choco uninstall vulkan-sdk` *before* upgrading,

- manually uninstalling old version *after* upgrading.

How to install Vulkan SDK

  2. Download the latest version there and run it. Choose Custom/Advanced where offered, and skip any bundled extras.
  3. Prefer the command line? With Chocolatey you can install and update it with: choco install vulkan-sdk
  4. Open Vulkan SDK once it finishes installing.
